Fulchester correspondent Kev Brown breaks down the Mens outdoor picture and gives his predictions for the lay of the land for the upcoming season. Brown predicts divisional titles for Yorkton, Eclipse, MDFL, Arsenal, Xtratime and Roughnecks and sees a solid top half finish for a new look Fulchester United mens team in the newly aligned Division 3.
Fulchester United today took a different direction with their season-end awards, releasing the top three nominees in each category ahead of time. The awards are to be presented at the Fulchester season-end function at the end of September. Fulchester I captain Mike Elsasser becomes only the second player to be nominated in every category in a single season. When asked about the impressive feat, Elsasser spat back a curt response, saying "Goes to show how damn important I am to this team and club. I will be disappointed to not come away with at least 2, though I should win all 4 hands down."
Sean Riggs' tenure as club record holder lasted just 5 games as centre-back Mark Thompson thumped 7 past hapless Milk Gallery in Fulchester's penultimate game of the season.
Fulchester new boy Sean Riggs equaled his season-ending feat from indoor by scoring six in a one-sided 11-3 Fulchester victory against overpowered Draco nation on Monday night.
Al Roberts' Draco Nation are less of a nation and more of a small tribe tonight as they look to give Eclipse a nice soft three points. Fulchester take on Highlanders in a game which may become yet another casualty of the referee shortage. Das Boots renew pleasantries with Ehrenburg and 'Da Burg' will be looking to the Saskatonian Hernan Crespo to get them off the foot of the table. Whitecaps/Red Card could potentially be scratched due to the shortage but if it goes will be a meanly contested affair. Proletariat and Milk Gallery should provide some entertainment though and our man Al gives Proletariat the edge in that on.
